Are you getting on the Wedding Boat? (A Dutch expression for getting married). Stichting De Leidse Rederij specializes in boat trips supporting wedding parties and for your wedding day our credo is the same as always: Nothing is too crazy for us!

Get on board; put on a dazzling outfit, grab a crazy wig and sail with us for the most amazing photoshoot ever. During 1 or 1.5 hours we sail through the moats of Leiden and over the green canals, providing the most photogenic background ever.

Get to know Leiden… on foot and by boat!
The old waterways of Leiden offer you a unique opportunity to discover a historic city in all its splendor and beauty. While sailing, the skipper takes you along the green-fringed moats of our ‘Key-City’ and will tell you about life in the old days from Leiden’s rich history. 

In early spring there is a possibility to make a special 'bird flight' in the Green Heart of Holland.  An experienced guide will provide you with information about the meadow birds during the breeding season and will look for beautiful spots in the polders to photograph from the water. 
Don't forget your camera and binoculars!

Sail along the Oude Rijn, since recently Unesco World Heritage!
Two thousand years ago it was busy on and along the Oude Rijn, the northern border (Limes) of the mighty Roman Empire. It was one of the most important shipping routes for troops and trade in Europe.

And you can experience part of that!

The " Singelpark " surrounds the historic center of Leiden with greenery.
A kilometers long city park with the water of the canals as a blue vein through the park. 

During a boat trip through the atmospheric old canals of Leiden, you follow the early years of the Leiden Rembrandt van Rijn.

Your skipper will tell you about the ups and downs of Rembrandt's youth and his training as a painter.
